Are you a small business looking to expand your brand? Or are you a member of the community and would like to come face to face with the professionals behind the businesses and products in your community? If either of these applies to you, then look no further than the Knightdale Business Expo of 2014.
Taking place Tuesday, June 17 from 3:00 to 7:00pm at the Knightdale High School, this 2014 Knightdale Business Expo gives local businesses the opportunity to showcase their goods and services to a phenomenal crowd of potential customers as well as the opportunity to network within the community to build their business. Offering over 100 exhibitors the chance to meet and mingle with other business owners, community leaders, and the chance to really see all that Knightdale has to offer a business. The chance to showcase business products to an eager crowd is an exciting and innovative way to advertise and network.
Not only do businesses and their owners benefit from this marvelous experience, but also attendees of the expo are treated to numerous activities. Attendees will get the opportunity to witness product demonstrations from up and coming businesses, receive copious amounts of information about the resources in the area, interact and meet with local mascots and “celebrities” of the community, and enjoy free food samples, contests, and games. It is truly an experience for the whole family.
Hosted by the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce, this expo is their way of not only helping businesses network and grow within the community, but it is also a way to strengthen the community itself. As stated in their mission statement, Knightdale Chamber of Commerce is actively committed to promoting profitable commerce through various means, such as advocacy, business engagement, and community advancement. Mary Yount, the executive director at the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce, describes the event and its goal best by stating, “The Knightdale Business EXPO is a community event presented by the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce. The goal of this EXPO is to provide the community a marketplace to see what local products and services are available. There is a little something for everyone; children will see mascots of local businesses and adults can stop into see demos on fitness, car seat safety and local K9 officers. The event is open to the public with plenty of parking.” This simply reinforces that the Chamber of Commerce has always kept the well-being of the community and the businesses operating within a top priority.
Building upon last year’s success, this year’s expo has improved the layout as well as offered the community a better interaction and more involvement in the businesses on display. For example, expo call-ins are an innovative and new feature being introduced to this year’s expo. This feature allows current and potential exhibitors the chance to participate in bi-weekly conference calls with the chamber to keep up to date on the latest details of the expo, including the features offered, special guests, and more. New features combined with an improved layout promises to make this expo better than the last.
Of course, none of this would be possible without a little help. Without the generosity and support of the expo event sponsors involved including; Duke Raleigh Hospital, Orthopedic Specialists in North Carolina, and Rex Healthcare, as well as the media sponsors Eastern Wake News, Carolina Clipz Magazine, and East Wake TV, this expo would remain an idea on paper and not a reality.
Putting the community first has always been the driving idea behind the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce, and this year’s expo is definitely a prime example of what can happen when the people within a community team up with the businesses to create something amazing.
